Terms and Conditions

1. Scope and provider

These Terms and Conditions apply to the booking of conversations with The Listener, a service provided by Walker, a sole proprietorship owned by Pius Walker, Plattenstrasse 80, 8032 Zürich, Switzerland.

The version published at the time of booking applies.

2. Booking and formation of the contract

A contract is formed once your booking has been confirmed electronically. Before completing your booking, you can review and correct the information you have entered.

The format, location, duration and price of the conversation are set out in the relevant booking description and booking confirmation.

3. The appointment

The booked appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.

For conversations held in a café or during a walk, I will choose as private and undisturbed a setting as reasonably possible. However, the same degree of privacy as in a closed room cannot be guaranteed.

4. Prices and payment

The prices shown on the booking page are final prices in Swiss francs.

Payment is due at the time of booking using one of the payment methods offered.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge up to 48 hours before it is due to begin. The relevant time is when your cancellation or rescheduling request is received through the booking system or by email.

For later cancellations or failure to attend, the full fee remains payable unless the appointment can be offered to someone else.

If I need to cancel an appointment, you may choose between an alternative appointment and a full refund of the amount paid.

6. Nature of the service

The Listener is an independent conversation service. It is not a form of medical treatment or therapy. No diagnoses are made and no medical advice is given. No particular outcome from a conversation is guaranteed.

The service is not suitable for acute medical or mental health emergencies. In such situations, you should contact the appropriate medical or psychiatric emergency service.

7. Data protection

Personal data and the content of conversations are handled in accordance with The Listener’s Privacy Policy.

8. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular those relating to consumer protection and jurisdiction, remain unaffected.
